The annual edition of the flagship International Indie Film Festival will be held in the coastal city / union territory of Pondicherry, India – a location that is ideal for hosting an internationally benchmarked artistic event. The festival will mark the beginning of a journey in cinema appreciation & promotion of the arts against the culturally rich backdrop of Pondicherry, a.k.a. Puducherry. With multiple screening venues, workshops, master classes, open forums, and a film market, here one can network and learn from distinguished film professionals and conduct business with members of the global film fraternity.

The festival will showcase curated independent cinema from across the globe and put the spotlight firmly on both art & commerce, bringing together creative & business stakeholders on a single platform. With its eclectic confluence of Indian and French cultures, the spiritual aura of the Aurobindo Ashram and the global commune of Auroville, the beach town of Pondicherry is uniquely placed as a location, and can be accessed via the beautiful East Coast Road from Chennai International Airport.

Micro versions of the International Indie Film Festival will travel to venues across India, South Asia, West Asia, Europe and North Africa in the future, in collaboration with the local arts & culture fraternity.
